Our members serve as advisers to the Council of Community Organizations (C.O.C.O.) on economical, social, and political issues in Oktibbeha County. C.O.C.O. welcomes youth, organizational and individual membership. Organizational membership is $30 per year. Individual membership is $24 per year. Up to age 18 youth membership is $5 per year. C.O.C.O. meets every fourth Saturday at 3 p.m. at the C.O.C.O. Center. Nonmembers are welcome to attend.

The Mississippi Golden Triangle Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with primary focus on the black community. We are a private, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The sorority has over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea with a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominantly black, educated women. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organizations Five Point Thrust of:
One Mission, One Sisterhood, Empowering Communities through Committed Service.
